I realized I never wrote a good DC post.. so here it is. I have no fashion sense so I was texting a friend pictures of shoes. Notice my 2 helpers in the background. I thought of JLK a lot that day. I could take her anywhere with me… except shoe shopping. She HAD to look at every pair… TWICE!! Charlotte in the airport. Such a good traveler. We have arrived!! We walked back and forth in front of the capital so often this trip. DC is a great walking city! How Tony does a museum ! My first thought seeing this picture was …she looks so grown up ..I hate it!… I choked on the words though.. I love having her as a baby.. but I can’t wait to see her grow up. I was always the mom who was truly a bit hysterical every birthday eve for my kids..I thought I “hated” that they “had” to grow up. Now I am scared to trust that it will actually happen. He asked me to take this picture … your guess is as good as mine… I asked Tony to try to start taking random pics of me with our kids. He nailed this one for sure. I love it. USDA farmers market.. had to hit it up Washington monument. We weren’t sure we were going to do them.. I am really glad we did. Lincoln.. My attempt at a fun picture.. ..although the outtakes might be the best.. Showing a little love for his company. In the lobby of our hotel. She was so good in her stroller this was her release. She was so cute .. and happy.. and fast. You can see why we got so many comments on her. This was one of my favorite dresses on Jennifer. She actually wore it in the maternity photo shoot we did when I was expecting Jonathan. I dont know what I am going to do when she wants to pick her own clothes… I love putting her in Jennifer’s things.. or something that connects my girls. A little Unravel foreshadowing:) One of my favorite parts of the trip. Live butterflies. Charlotte was so excited in there.. squealing with delight and being so good to approach the butterflies slowly. Ruby red slippers. Jennifer loved Wizard of Oz. .. our money guy at the countries money place. We missed our boys terribly … thankful for technology! White house. Some of the incredible people we met. This young lady is a survivor .. we both really felt a connection to them. ..Meeting the was worth the trip! Baby Charlotte looked adorable in the flower girl dress that both girls wore.. I know she won’t fit in it for much longer so I chose it for our visit to the Hill. On the bed with pinkie behind her .. I took so many pictures.. …maybe one too many?? At the airport waiting for our flight. Again our girl all smiles running around the airport.. with pizza of course. I can’t end a blog without pictures of Jennifer.. so here she is on her first airplane ride. .. …until there is a cure « 20 weeks evolving » 22 Responses to “DC in pictures” I’m glad Tony’s taking these pictures of you. There are people who make teddie bears out of a loved ones clothing after they pass away. It might give you a use for some of the clothes charlotte is growing out of and give all of you a pretty great gift that can last for a long time. One friend of mine has one made from her grandfathers clothes that she even brought to college! It brought a lot of comfort over the years. Reply Charlotte is perfectly gorgeous in Jennifers dresses. Reply Another thing you can do with the clothes that belonged to both of your girls is to have them made into a quilt. You can keep it on your bed and snuggle “with them” every night. Your on a mission Libby to get some action on Pediatric Cancer and have so many people behind you. We are on our way to find a cure for this monster disease that took away our precious Jennifer but I pray that with everyone’s help things will change for the best!! Reply Fantastic pics!! Thanks for sharing. Reply It’s so nice to see a smile on your face, Libby. Even if it was forced, it is contagious! I was able to spread a little glitter today here in Texas.
