Myles was diagnosed on Jan 23, 2018, with DIPG, the most aggressive type of brain cancer. There is no cure and the funding for research from the government is only 4%. 

Myles loved boating and fishing, but what he really wanted was to work with his uncle who is a Sunnyvale police officer.

That dream came true in March 2018, when the department made Myles an honorary officer. He received an official police uniform, complete with a badge, nametag, and hat, the station reported.
